The main function of the cryogenic storage tank is to fill and store low-temperature liquids. The safety requirements for the use of cryogenic storage tanks should comprehensively consider the hazardous characteristics of gases, the effectiveness of low-temperature protection, the surrounding environmental conditions, and the characteristics of pressure vessels. Corresponding technical management measures should be taken to ensure safe operation.

The main function of the cryogenic storage tank is to fill and store cryogenic liquids. For the safe use of cryogenic storage tanks, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the hazardous characteristics of gases, cryogenic protection effects, surrounding environmental conditions, and pressure vessel characteristics, and take corresponding technical management measures to ensure safe operation.

1. Operators of cryogenic storage tanks should have a detailed understanding of the equipment and its piping and valve system structure, be familiar with the hazardous characteristics of cryogenic liquids, strictly control the surrounding environmental conditions, and operate according to the safety operation procedures for cryogenic liquid storage tanks. Operators must pass training and assessment by quality and technical supervision departments at the municipal level or above, hold a pressure vessel operation qualification certificate, and only then can they be on duty. Before operation, operators should take prescribed labor safety protection measures.

2. The use of cryogenic storage tanks must strictly comply with the "Safety Rules for the Use of Cryogenic Liquid Storage and Transportation Equipment" (JB6898-1997) and strengthen daily safety management. When storing cryogenic liquids, the filling rate must not exceed 0.95. Overfilling is strictly prohibited. Before putting the cryogenic liquid storage tank into use, ensure the container is well sealed, all accessories (including valves, instruments, safety devices) are complete, effective, sensitive, and reliable, the pipeline materials are appropriately selected, and the system interior is dry and free of oil contamination.

3. During the normal use of the cryogenic storage tank, a dedicated person should be responsible for regular inspections. The internal pressure must not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cryogenic storage tank. If overpressure occurs, pressure relief measures should be taken. Check the status and leakage conditions of all valves; if abnormal status or leakage is found, timely measures should be taken to properly correct the anomaly.

4. Regularly check the vacuum degree inside the jacket of the cryogenic storage tank. If the vacuum deteriorates, vacuum replenishment measures should be taken (vacuum extraction of the cryogenic storage tank should be carried out by a professional unit or the original manufacturer).
