The air pressure of the air compressor is very unstable during operation and has large fluctuations. Using an air storage tank can control the air pressure within a suitable range and eliminate pulsations in the airflow within the pipeline. With the air storage tank, the compressed air output from the air compressor has a buffering area, allowing the air source to be better maintained at a set value, and the air usage system can achieve stable pressure.
1. Stable Air Pressure
The air pressure of the air compressor is very unstable during operation and has large fluctuations. Using an air storage tank can control the air pressure within a suitable range and eliminate pulsations in the airflow within the pipeline. With the air storage tank, the compressed air output from the air compressor has a buffering place, allowing the air source to better maintain a set value and the air system to achieve stable pressure.
2. Air Storage
The air compressor itself does not have a place to store compressed air; once compressed air is generated, it must be used immediately, which is not an ideal operation mode. With an air storage tank, compressed air can first be pumped into the tank to a certain pressure, then used until the pressure drops to a certain level before the compressor starts again. This can meet the sudden increase in air demand from equipment and ensure more stable air usage.
3. Energy Saving Effect
Frequent starting and stopping of the air compressor causes large current consumption by the motor. With an air storage tank, the compressor can be automatically turned off; when the tank is filled to the set pressure, the compressor will stop automatically, preventing continuous operation and saving electricity.
4. Cooling and Filtration
The temperature of the compressed air entering the air storage tank is reduced, achieving initial cooling of the compressed air. At the same time, water and oil in the compressed air can settle, resulting in higher quality compressed air.
