The natural gas desander skid is an integrated, high-efficiency sand-removal unit specifically engineered for the demanding operating conditions of high-pressure gas production and fracturing flowback in gas fields. Featuring a 35 MPa ultra-high-pressure design as its core, it combines cyclonic separation with filtration to thoroughly remove fine solid impurities—such as 0.1 mm–sized fracturing sand and formation sand—entrained in the natural gas. The skid also integrates complete process functions for flushing, venting, and blowdown, and is delivered as a fully skid-mounted unit. It provides a safe, efficient, and maintenance-free solution for deep purification of solid impurities in gas-field gathering and transmission systems, thereby ensuring stable operation throughout the entire gas-production process.

Detailed Introduction


1. 35 MPa ultra-high-pressure design, suitable for demanding operating conditions
The equipment body is designed and manufactured to meet the 35 MPa high-pressure standard, fully satisfying the extreme pressure conditions encountered in high-pressure gas production and fracturing operations in gas fields. With its high structural strength and outstanding pressure-bearing performance, it can operate stably over the long term under high-pressure conditions, fundamentally eliminating the risk of high-pressure leaks and establishing the first line of defense for safe gas-field production.
2. Dual desanding via cyclonic separation and filtration, achieving 99% desanding efficiency.
A two-stage deep sand removal process is employed to achieve thorough separation of fine sand particles:
Primary cyclonic separation: Leveraging the principle of centrifugal force, this stage rapidly removes most of the large particulate fracturing sand and formation sand from the natural gas, thereby preliminarily purifying the fluid and substantially reducing the filtration load in subsequent stages.
Secondary precision filtration: This stage provides deep interception of fine sand particles as small as 0.1 mm, achieving an overall sand removal efficiency of up to 99%. It effectively removes fracturing sand entrained in natural gas, thereby preventing abrasive wear and blockage of downstream equipment such as compressors, flow meters, and valves, and providing comprehensive protection for the gas field gathering and transmission system.
3. Full-process self-maintenance capability, making operations and maintenance effortless and hassle-free.
The equipment is equipped with integrated online flushing, venting, and drainage functions:
The filtration elements can be regularly cleaned via an online backwash system without dismantling the vessel or shutting down the unit, ensuring consistently stable desanding performance and significantly reducing operation and maintenance costs.
Integrated vent and drain ports enable rapid removal of settled sand and accumulated liquid from the tank, ensuring thorough internal cleaning of the equipment and preventing sand buildup from compromising treatment performance. The entire operation is convenient, safe, and fully controllable.
4. Highly corrosion-resistant design, suitable for the complex media found in gas fields.
For corrosive media such as H₂S/CO₂-containing gas field brines and high-salinity produced water, the equipment body is constructed using corrosion-resistant materials and advanced manufacturing processes, effectively mitigating both chemical corrosion and erosive wear. This design is well-suited to the complex operating conditions found in various sour gas fields and shale gas fields, thereby extending equipment service life and reducing total lifecycle costs.
5. Fully skid-mounted and factory-delivered; ready to install and operate upon arrival.
The equipment features an integrated skid-mounted design, with the desander body, piping, valves, instrumentation, and control system all consolidated onto a single skid. After factory prefabrication and commissioning, the complete unit is shipped as a whole, requiring only connection of the inlet and outlet gas/liquid pipelines on site before it can be put into operation. This significantly shortens the on-site construction schedule, reduces the scope of on-site installation work, and truly achieves “install-and-use” capability.

The workshop is equipped with advanced heavy-duty lifting systems: a single skid-mounted unit achieves a maximum vertical lifting height of 22 meters, capable of assembling ultra-tall components such as offshore platform modules and large reaction towers. Regarding crane layout, the main lifting zone features a 100-ton heavy-duty crane as the primary configuration. Five single-girder overhead traveling cranes are distributed along the workshop's longitudinal axis, complemented by three semi-gantry cranes covering the entire workflow from welding and final assembly to inspection. The workshop is further equipped with an automated ventilation and dust removal system, an intelligent safety monitoring platform, and multi-dimensional positioning devices, creating a composite industrial space integrating heavy lifting, precision assembly, and safety management.
